Two people are dead after a murder-suicide in upper Manhattan.

Police said Sergio Azcona shot his girlfriend Michelle DeLaCruz inside his Audubon Avenue apartment in Washington Heights early Wednesday morning.

Officials said Azcona fired at police, then shot himself.

DeLaCruz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Azcona was taken to New York Presbyterian hospital where he later died.
