The Men in Black are back for a third installment of the movie franchise, the first in 10 years. NY1's Neil Rosen filed the following review.

The stars of Men In Black are back after a 10 year hiatus from the screen with the third installment in this popular series.

Let's face it,. the second movie wasn't very good. But Men In Black III manages to capture the fun and freshness of the original by adding a nifty time travel element. The film also greatly improved from its predecessor by simplifying the storyline.

There's an evil alien, named Boris The Animal, who escapes form a lunar prison and then goes back in time to 1969 to kill his old nemesis Agent K, who was responsible for shooting off his arm.

So now, Will Smith has to go back in time to the sixties to make sure the timeline isn't changed, save Agent K's life and also protect the planet earth.

Played by Tommy Lee Jones in the present, a young Agent K in the late sixties is portrayed by Josh Brolin and his imitation of Jones is spot on. He has the facial expression, speech patterns and other Jones mannerisms down pat and he makes Men In Black III all the more fun to watch.

Will Smith, who hasn't been in a movie in four years, triumphantly returns here and makes the entire experience go down easy.

The special effects are superb and the recreation of 1969 New York is a visual blast. Director Barry Sonnenfeld along with screenwriter Etan Cohen have a good time skewering the decade, with the advantage of 20/20 hindsight, as they poke fun at many things from the era, including pop art icon Andy Warhol.

The 3D is very well done and makes the whole thing soar. Sonnenfeld should be proud of himself for reinvigorating this series and making it a witty, entertaining, joy ride from start to finish.
