The New York City Police Department is investigating after two off-duty officers shot a gun-wielding man in the Bronx.
Investigators say the man was seen firing the gun in a park on Creston Avenue in Fordham around 8:20 p.m.
They say when two off-duty police officers approached the man, he opened fire on them.
The officers fired back and struck the man in the stomach and leg.
He is recovering in the hospital.
Neither officer was hurt.
