A popular West Village cupcake shop is hoping a bad report card from the New York City Department of Health with a slew of violations doesn't take the bite out of their sweet reputation.

A Magnolia Bakery spokesperson said that its Bleecker Street bakery was expected to reopen at 5:30 p.m. Saturday with a limited menu.

The Health Department shut the bakery down on Friday for a variety of violations, including evidence of mouse droppings.

The bakery spokesperson said that cleanliness is a priority, and that Hurricane Sandy was the likely cause of the infestation, because mice appeared shortly after parts of the neighborhood flooded during the storm.

The Health Department issued 49 violation points to the bakery.

Exterminators were at the bakery all day Friday.
