A small group of demonstrators began to fill Washington Square Park Saturday morning, where they will hold rallies and workshops.

Sunday's events include a march to Foley Square, where a concert will be held.

On Monday morning, protesters plan to flood the Financial District, where they say they'll carry out mass civil disobedience.

It was September 17, 2011 when hundreds of people took over Zuccotti Park, protesting what they called income inequality and corporate greed.

They erected a tent city, holding rallies nearly every day for three months.

A year later, some say they are not sure if everyone is getting the message.

"I think the message is getting through to people who want to listen to it and are open to it," said one.

"Nothing has changed," said another. "I think things have gotten worse. And it's mainly the influence of Wall Street and corporations over everything."

Police swept in last November and cleared out the park following several violent clashes between their officers and demonstrators, which led to hundreds of arrests.
