Police are searching for a man on a bicycle accused of beating a woman in Queens in an attempt to force her to perform a sex act on him.

The New York City Police Department has released a sketch of the suspect, pictured above.

Police say the man approached the victim on August 25 in Long Island City while riding a bicycle.

He proceeded to repeatedly hit her in the face, breaking her nose.

The suspect told the woman he would stop beating her if she performed a sex act on him.

The woman was able to escape.

The suspect fled on his BMX-style bike.

He is thought to be approximately 20 to 25 years old, standing between 5-feet-5-inches and 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing between 155 to 170 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
