Investigators are searching for an alleged police impersonator wanted in connection with a robbery in Manhattan.

Police say the man showed up at the Manhattan Rainbow Spa on West 45th Street in Midtown in June.

He told a woman at the door he was a police officer and displayed an unknown shield, according to investigators.

The woman let him into the business and that's when police say he demanded money.

Police say the victim handed over the cash and the suspect fled.

Investigators describe the man as in his 20s.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
