A woman is dead after being hit by a car outside a McDonald's in Brooklyn this afternoon.

Police said a customer was backing into a parking spot outside the fast food restaurant located at 48th Street and Flatbush Avenue when they accidentally hit the gas.

The car jumped the curb of the sidewalk in front of the store and hit a tree.

A woman in her late 60s was hit on the sidewalk, police said.

The window in front of the McDonald's was also smashed.

Police said the pedestrian was killed upon impact.

She has not been identified.

No one else was injured.

Police are questioning the driver but said they do not expect to file any charges.
