A Brooklyn mother of three is arrested after she allegedly left two of her young children standing alone on a street corner in Brooklyn this weekend.
Sources say Dalisha Adams, 26, is being charged with two counts of child endangerment.
Police say her daughters Dominae, 2, and Diani, 3, were discovered around 2:45 p.m. Sunday standing outside the Bayview Houses near the corner of East 102nd Street and Shore Parkway in Canarsie.
Adams' third daughter, Dynasty, 8, was found safe at her aunt's house in the Bronx.
At the time the two young girls were found, police say they were bundled up and holding a pair of disposable diapers.
"My heart goes out to the family, the grandmother and the father of the children because them children didn't deserve that," said one Canarsie resident.
Sources say the girls told officers that their mother had dropped them off at the location.
The girls were later taken to Brookdale Hospital as a precaution.
Through an emergency contact, sources say police were able to get a message to the mother to come to the 69th precinct house, where she was arrested.
One neighbor who spoke with NY1 said she heard the mother yelling frequently.
"You don't do that to kids, that's horrible. I'm shocked that she's just downstairs, that's horrible. But she always yellin' at them, so you never know, always yellin'," said the neighbor.
The Administration for Children's Services is currently caring for the children as the investigation continues.
