Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a man accused of killing a Brooklyn woman more than three years ago.

Michael Mele, who was present for the jury selection, is charged with murder, manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the death of Laura Garza, 25.

Garza vanished after leaving Club Marquee with Mele in December 2008.

Her remains were found in rural Pennsylvania in April 2010.

Potential jurors were asked questions about Mele's case and whether they can put aside what they already know to serve on a jury.

Mele is currently serving time for violating his parole as a registered sex offender.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
