A Manhattan man convicted of sexually assaulting five women in Manhattan was sentenced Monday to 428 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Vincent Heyward received an indeterminate sentence of 200 years to life with a consecutive determinate sentence of 228 years.
Heyward was found guilty of dozens of felony charges in connection with five attacks in Upper Manhattan and Chinatown.
Prosecutors say between August 1 and September 7, 2009, Heyward violently attacked five women by sexually assaulting and robbing them at gunpoint.
His DNA was linked to all of the incidents.
The Manhattan District Attorney's Office says the victims gave statements before sentencing.
