Former "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" director Julie Taymor is demanding a reported $300,000 in royalty payments from the musical.
The Stage Directors Union and Choreographer's Society filed an arbitration claim on Taymor's behalf.
The filing claims Taymor has not been paid any royalties for the run of the production.
One of the show's producers said this week his team is still trying to resolve financial disputes as a result of having to rework the musical.
Taymor, who co-wrote the show's book, was bumped from the $70 million musical in March after delays, serious accidents and scathing reviews.
A reworked version of the musical is scheduled to open Tuesday.
