Getting a divorce is now a little easier, as starting today couples in New York State who want to end their marriage can now file for no-fault divorce.
The law allows couples to get divorced without assigning blame to one partner.
Previously, a couple had to either separate for a year or cite reasons like adultery, abandonment or cruel treatment in asking for a divorce.
New York was the last state in the nation to adopt some form of no-fault divorce.
