The Manhattan district attorney's office says it has not yet decided whether to file formal charges against Rudolph Guiliani's daughter, after her shoplifting arrest yesterday.

Police say Caroline Giuliani, 20, was caught on video at the Sephora on East 86th Street – pocketing several items worth more than a hundred dollars.

However, sources tell NY1 that after learning who she was, store management decided not to press charges.

Giuliani was issued a desk appearance ticket for petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and is due back in court at the end of the month.

Through a spokeswoman, the former mayor says the case is a personal matter, and asks the media to respect his daughter's privacy.

Caroline is a student at Harvard. She's said to have a strained relationship with her father.

She made headlines during his presidential campaign for joining a Facebook group in support of Barack Obama.
