By Saturday, the Queens man accused of going on a stabbing spree in the Meatpacking District was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Rushane Brown, the 22-year-old Queens resident charged with Thursday's knife attack, got into an argument with an employee at a sunglasses store on Ninth Avenue and 14th Street, according to police.
Brown then allegedly stabbed the employee in the stomach and chased another into a nearby restaurant.
Investigators said Brown then threw a piece of furniture through the door, ran across the street into a crowded outdoor plaza and slashed three more people.
A group of bystanders subdued Brown until police arrived.
Three officers suffered minor injuries while trying to arrest him.
All the victims are expected to recover.
