Elected Officials, Workers Petition Service Cuts Before MTA Board Meeting
Transit riders, elected officials, and TWU Local 100 will submit petitions to the MTA Board. The petitions, signed by thousands of New York City residents, call on the MTA and Governor Andrew Cuomo to immediately fund the restoration of transit services cut in 2010. The signatures were collected in an effort to draw attention to the impact of transit cuts on NYC communities, such as the B64 in Southwest Brooklyn, the station booths in Washington Heights, and the B61 and B77 in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
