There were some disappointed baseball fans in Coney Island Tuesday, as the Brooklyn Cyclones' home opener against their crosstown rivals, the Staten Island Yankees, was rained out.
It was to be a fresh start at the renovated MCU Park, which has a new look after Hurricane Sandy left several feet of salt water, mud and sewage behind.
Their home opener will now be Thursday.
The Yankees beat the Cyclones in the season opener Monday on Staten Island.
The Cyclones say fans can exchange Tuesday night's tickets for any other game this year.
