After losing two of their last three games, the New York Knicks, led by point guard Jeremy Lin and forward Carmelo Anthony, are playing the Atlanta Hawks in Madison Square Garden tonight.

New York is 8-2 since the "Linsanity" began earlier this month.

On Monday, the Knicks, despite having Lin and Anthony in the starting lineup for the first time, were defeated by the New Jersey Nets.

Lin had 21 points and nine assists against New Jersey, but Anthony only had 11 points after missing two weeks with a groin injury.

The Hawks, meanwhile, have lost four of their last five games, and will be without their leading scorer, Joe Johnson, due to tendinitis in his left knee.

Meanwhile, the MSG Network says it is punishing Spero Dedes, the Knicks radio play-by-play man, for using the phrase "chink in the armor" when talking about Jeremy Lin.

A spokeswoman for the network says Dedes' offensive term was inappropriate and inconsistent with the regard they have for Lin and the Asian community.

Dedes says he is deeply sorry and that it was completely inadvertent.

There is no word on whether Dedes is being fined or suspended.

This comes days after ESPN fired an employee responsible for an offensive headline that appeared on their mobile website and also suspended an ESPN news anchor for 30 days for a racially insensitive comment.
