NY1 VIDEO: The summer of 1994 was a good one for the teams that call MSG home. The Rangers won their first Stanley Cup in 54 years and little more than a week later, the Knicks were within a game of winning a championship of their own. But it wasn't meant to be, as the Knicks fell to the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. NY1's Budd Mishkin filed the following report on June 22, 1994.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: The Knicks returned to the NBA Finals in 1999, where they lost to the San Antonio Spurs in 5 games. They have not won a playoff series since 2000.
