NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Jonathan Dienst's February 21, 1996 story on the shocking and horrifying conditions at the Noble Drew Ali Houses in Brooklyn, whose owners received millions in federal funds for maintenance.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: The Noble Drew Ali Plaza was bought in 2007 by former Met Mo Vaughn's company, Omni New York LLC, and is now known as just the Plaza. NY1 has requested a tour of the property and an interview.
