Performance by Ailey II Dancers

First up, save the last dance for Sylvia Waters. From now through April 29, see the Ailey II dancers in their last season under Artistic Director Sylvia Waters. Waters has been guiding the younger Alvin Ailey dancers since 1974. The group is performing at the Ailey Citigroup Theater one West 55th Street. Tickets are $49.

Shen Yun at Lincoln Center

Also now through Sunday, explore the world of classical Chinese choreography. The Shen Yun company brings Chinese color and culture to the stage with a grand company of dancers and musicians at Lincoln Center. Tickets start at $80.

Affordable Art Fair

Also this weekend, bring home some great works of art without breaking the bank. The Affordable Art Fair is at 7 W New York at 7 West 34th Street. From now through Sunday, the Affordable Art Fair will showcase affordable painting and sculpture and even installations. Tickets start at $12.

Green Festival at the Javits Center

Celebrate Earth Day when you visit New York City's first ever Green Festival at the Javits Center also this weekend. The event features hundreds of eco-innovators, speakers, organic dining plus family workshops Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 for a one day pass and $20 for a full weekend pass when purchased online ($15 and $25 at the door).

Jazz Fundraiser for Trumpet Great Clark Terry

And lastly, a great cause for a great innovator of jazz. Monday night attend a special fundraiser for trumpet great Clark Terry. More than 30 musicians are set to perform at Saint Peter's Church located at 54ht street and Lexington Avenue. Funds raised will go towards Terry's medical expenses. Terry, who is seriously ill, plans to make an appearance via Skype. Suggested donation is $25 at the door.
