If you've taken a sufficient bite out of the Big Apple this summer, then maybe it’s time to head to the boardwalk with your appetite. NY1’s Valarie D’Elia filed the following Travel with Val report. For the second-year ever, Atlantic City is hosting a Food and Wine Festival as the premier event of the summer. It will have a hard act to follow as last year's inaugural event was so successful; they are pulling out all the stops to make it bigger and better.
The three-day event at the end of July includes food and wine tastings, Food Network celebrity appearances with Guy Fieri, Sandra Lee and Paula Deen, cooking demos and other events. The festival is being held at several venues, spread out between Harrah's resort, Caesars, Showboat and Ballys’.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen breast cancer charity.
The festival takes place July 29 to August 1. Tickets range from $30 to $1,000 for specific events.
