The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will install monitors in some Upper East Side apartments because of complaints about noise from overnight drilling on the Second Avenue subway.
Residents say the off-hours drilling is ruining their sleep.
Transit officials say drilling near the site of the future 72nd Street station is necessary in order to get the area ready for blasting the next day.
But they say they are still dealing with the ongoing noise issues.
