Two talented artists are collaborating for a unique exhibit at the Brooklyn Historical Society.

"She Said, She Said" features historical photographs of Brooklyn taken in the 70s and 80s by Lucille Fornasieri Gold, and paintings by Nell Painter that were inspired by the photos.

Gold says she simply tried to capture diverse scenes of everyday life in her work.

"Just walking and looking around, and being an observer," Fornasieri Gold said.

"The photos are riveting. They are from a time and a place, but they also have a life, and a narrative," Painter said.

The exhibit will run through next February.
