Five years after a bystander was shot in the Bronx, four defendants have pleaded guilty in connection to the incident.
Among them is Carvette Gentles, who prosecutors say was 16 when he pulled the trigger.
Investigators say he shot Tyrone Creighton multiple times back in 2009.
They believe Creighton was the intended target, but say a stray bullet struck 15-year-old Vada Vasquez in the head.
She was put in a medically induced coma, but eventually recovered.
Gentles has now pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and is expected to be sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Meanwhile, two other men have pleaded guilty to assault for helping to chase down Creighton, and a third pleaded guilty to conspiracy for ordering the shooting.
