One of the city's oldest living residents has died.

Rachel Hargrave died Sunday, one week after celebrating her 111th birthday.

To put her age in perspective, she was a teenager during World War I and she was in her 30s During the Great Depression.

During her lifetime, the longtime Upper East Side resident worked as a journalist, a radio talk show host and an editor/writer for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.

At one point, she was thought to be the oldest woman living in the city, but the Department of the Aging says there is another woman who is set to celebrate her 115th birthday next month.
