Police are questioning someone in connection with a shooting at a late-night party in the Bronx that left one teen dead and two wounded.
Police say it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at a house on East 232nd street in Wakefield.
Seventeen-year-old Keshon Porterfield was hit in the back and later died at Montefiore Hospital.
Two other teens were shot and wounded in the incident.
Neighbors say it's particularly disturbing because of the victim's age.
"I don't like that, a young man get killed. I knew him too well. If I could have helped him, I would have, but he wasn't the type of child to take the help," one neighbor said.
"It's really surprising, it's really shocking. But at the same time I'm aware that stuff like this happens. It's nothing—it's not that it's nothing new—but we hear about stuff like this and it's kind of just crazy to know that he lived downstairs," another neighbor said.
The two other victims are described as in stable condition.
Police have not identified the person they're questioning.
