Two women were arrested Thursday after police say they caught them with nearly $5 million worth of heroin.
Prosecutors say Drug Enforcement Administration agents and New York City police officers followed 28-year-old Carmen Garcia and 25-year-old Rosa Vasquez as they moved the drugs.
Vasquez allegedly loaded a large black duffel bag into a van.
They then allegedly drove to a garage on Morris Avenue.
Investigators say agents then stopped the women and inspected the van.
That's when investigators say agents found 44 pounds of heroin.
Both women are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
