Brooklyn's place in national culture is secure for at least a generation, as thousands of kids across the country now bear the borough's name.
"Brooklyn" has been one of the top 30 girls' names in each of the past three years.
More than 6,000 girls were given the name in 2013, according to the Social Security Administration.
It beat out names like Sarah, Allison and Samantha.
Brooklyn parents, of course, are too cool to call their kids "Brooklyn."
There are 41 states where "Brooklyn" is the most popular girls' naming starting with "B" but New York is not one of them.
