The New York City Police Department reportedly is turning its attention to gas stations and bridges in upper Manhattan as it hunts down illegal motorbikes.
According to the Daily News, officers are targeting locations in an around Inwood and East Harlem.
They are looking for groups driving dirt bikes, ATVs and unregistered motorcycles who stop to fill up before heading over bridges into the Bronx.
One police source tells the News six motorcycles and a dirt bike have been seized over the last three weeks.
Police have been cracking down on rowdy bikers since last September, when a group of motorcyclists chased down an SUV and attacked its driver after he hit one of them on the Henry Hudson Parkway.
