Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday announced the formation of a task force aimed at creating better jobs across the city.

At a press conference outside the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park, the mayor explained the goals of his Jobs for New Yorkers initiative.

The goal of the initiative is not to help workers secure any job, but instead well paying jobs in fast-growing careers.

The task force is set to deliver a report this fall that outlines how to better utilize existing workforce placement programs and funding.

The report will also outline how it plans to create new training programs and encourage companies to hire homegrown talent.
