A man who fell through a frozen lake at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx on Sunday is recovering.
The fire department got a call of a person in the water around 12:30 p.m.
Firefighters found the man nearly 40 feet out in Woodlawn Lake, holding onto the edge of the ice.
They used ladders to distribute their weight on the lake's frozen surface and successfully pulled the man from the water.
The man was taken to Jacobi Hospital for treatment.
It's still not clear how he fell into the water.
