Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times of the year for the flower industry, but because a snowstorm is expected to blanket the city with snow this week, store are putting out flowers early.

Places like the Dutch Flower Line Shop in Chelsea are buzzing with customers two days ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Workers there say they're preparing for Thursday’s snow by putting plenty of flowers out now.

"We got flowers coming in from all over the world. Japan, South America, France, Holland, Italy, you name it, and it's all coming here now, before the storm, and we're trying to put it in display as fast as possible so we can sell it,” said Cas Trap of Dutch Flower Line in Chelsea.

Last year's Valentine's Day was sunny with a high of 46 degrees.
