Some passengers at LaGuardia Airport temporarily found themselves curbside Tuesday afternoon due to a suspicious bag investigation.

A Port Authority spokesman says authorities evacuated Terminal C after a baggage handler thought a bag felt hot to the touch.

"All of a sudden an announcement came that everybody had to leave the terminal. Employees, shop employees, all passengers, all staff. The whole place was cleared out," said one airline passenger.

"There were like police vehicles surrounding the airplane," said another passenger.

"Standing out in the freezing weather and not getting any information," noted a third passenger.

The item was sent through an X-ray scan and officials say nothing suspicious was found.

The evacuation lasted for a little more than an hour.
