These days, the Super Bowl is about more than football, as there will also be high-profile musical acts.
Renee Fleming will be the first opera singer to perform the national anthem at the big game.
"I'm shocked and surprised and absolutely thrilled, honored, and I applaud them for really doing something different this year," said Fleming.
Pop star Bruno Mars will do the half time show along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
He said he's excited to be in the spotlight, but is trying to think of it as business as usual.
"No matter where I perform, it's my job to uplift the people. So whether I'm performing at a graduation party, a wedding, a bar mitzvah, the Grammy's, the Super Bowl, I'm going to give it all I got," said Mars.
Neither singer was willing to let on who they'll be rooting for to take home the Lombardi trophy.
