Fire investigators say a man was injured Monday morning when a bug bomb went off inside a Queens home.

Officials say it happened just before 11 a.m. inside an apartment located at 39-20 Greenpoint Avenue in Sunnyside.

The city Department of Buildings says the explosion damaged a non-load bearing wall separating two apartments.

The man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A similar accident that happened in Chinatown this past July.

Eight people were hurt in that accident, three of them seriously.

The DOB says a full vacate order has been issued to tenants in both apartments and a violation was issued to remove debris at the site. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 (http://commoncrawl.org/faq/) Profile: TWCSAMLSP
