A motorcyclist and a pedestrian are dead after a crash in Queens.

Police say the crash happened at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Queens Boulevard and 58th Street in Woodside.

Investigators say 31-year-old Darien Baker from Yonkers, N.Y. was riding along Queens Boulevard when he collided with a 78-year-old woman who was crossing at 58th Street.

One witness said that the biker was one in a group, and his friends tried to help him.

"I don't hit him, but I see when the motorbike was spinning, a lot of people are screaming, too," the witness said. "Some of his friends, they help him. They actually tried to stand him up and bring the motorcycle right next to him, but he just fell down on that."

Both victims were pronounced dead on arrival at Elmhurst Hospital.

Police have not yet identified the pedestrian. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 (http://commoncrawl.org/faq/) Profile: TWCSAMLSP
