Crews at the Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn are starting to assemble the world's tallest modular building.
Workers will lift the first of the modules - or mods, for short - of B2, the first residential building to go up on the site, into place Thursday.
By the time the mods get to the Atlantic Yards, each one is fully assembled, including kitchens, bathrooms and appliances.
They will then be hoisted into place, almost like putting together a puzzle.
The mods are built in a new factory staffed by 100 union workers.
Half of the 363 apartments in the building are slated for affordable housing.
The building is scheduled for completion towards the end of next year.
