For Fall/Winter 2014 Lacoste is taking a swing at a golf-inspired collection. NY1's Jessica Abo filed the following report.

To design Lacoste's Fall/Winter 2014 collection creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista flew to France to visit the Lacoste family's golf course, Chantaco.

"I went there and I had access to all of the pictures of the family leasuring, so this kind of idea is very comfortable, very chic," recalls Baptista.

Baptista says he kept to a neutral color palette to tie in the nature one sees when putting on the green. And he incorporated lots of layers and larger pieces turning the label's classic polo shirt into an over-shirt.

"There's so much more to the brand than just the polo shirt," says Lucky Magazine Editor-in-Chief Eva Chen. "It's new interpretations of the boy meets girl kind of sense of dressing. And I think right now Lacoste is so elevated, it's something the editors want to wear as well."

And backstage celebrity fans saying when you're sporting the crocodile looking good is par for the course.

"I love that it's sporty. It's very elegant. It's clean," says actor and singer Bella Thorne.

"I feel crisp and fresh when I have their stuff on. It's a nice balance of sporty but kind of affluent," says actor Jesse Metcalfe.

"I like the colors. I think that recently it's really cool that a lot of guys, you know like A-listers, aren't afraid to wear these cool crazy colors," says actor Colton Haynes.

"All of the solid colors were incredible, but I'd say there were a couple of trench coats with zippers that I was eyeing that were really nice," says singer and actor Joe Jonas.

So don't worry if your form still needs work, come the fall Lacoste will help you look like a champion.
