A man was arrested Saturday after allegedly stabbing another man to death in a subway train in Manhattan.

Police say the 37-year-old suspect stabbed a 36-year-old man multiple times in the neck and face during an argument on a northbound D train at the Seventh Avenue station around 2 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

His alleged attacker was arrested at the station and charges are pending.

By Saturday evening, police had not released the men's names.

The station was closed after the incident but has since reopened, and New York City Transit said service in both directions was back to normal by Saturday afternoon.
